The City of Buenos Aires released its July community events calendar on 10 July with 187 listings spread from Recoleta to Villa Urquiza.
Local organizers added the listings after several international news stories raised concerns about global stability, prompting neighborhood groups to schedule more in-person meetups to keep residents connected.
Neighborhood highlights
Two events stand out on the list. The San Telmo Sunday market at Plaza Dorrego will host a free community choir performance every Sunday at 11 a.m. starting 13 July. In Palermo, the Fundación Banco Ciudad is running weekly storytelling sessions for families at the Abasto Cultural Center on Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
City data shows 62 of the listed events are completely free while the rest carry entry fees between 150 and 800 Argentine pesos. Most activities run between 13 July and 31 July, with registration required for 41 workshops through the municipal website.
Practical steps
Anyone planning to attend should check the official calendar page or call the 147 information line before heading out, as some sessions have limited capacity. Printed copies of the calendar are also available at all 48 Comuna offices across the city.
