Buenos Aires Invests $X Million to Expand Smart City Infrastructure Since 2013

Lighting retrofit and district projects
Since 2013 the city has replaced 91,000 street lights with smart LEDs that include remote tele-management controls. The change produces annual savings of 44.5 million kWh and has cut 9,866 tons of CO2 emissions to date. Parallel work under Plan Nanocentro converts a technology district through expanded bicycle paths, pedestrian zones and real-time safety information systems.
