Venture Funding Surges for Digital Literacy Initiatives Across Buenos Aires
Local startups and city programs draw $62 million in fresh capital this year as demand for tech skills climbs in the Argentine capital.
How we reported this

Buenos Aires startups focused on digital literacy pulled in $62 million in venture funding during the first half of 2026, according to data compiled by the city’s technology investment tracker.
The inflows come as employers in finance, logistics and media demand workers who can handle basic coding, data tools and online safety practices. City officials have linked the push to broader economic recovery efforts after last year’s currency volatility squeezed household budgets for training.
Neighborhood hubs draw new capital
Two blocks from the Subte station in Palermo, the co-working space Impact Hub on Honduras Street now hosts three funded platforms that deliver free modules on spreadsheet analysis and cybersecurity. A short walk from there, the Fundación Sadosky office in San Telmo runs an after-hours program that pairs local coders with secondary-school students from the surrounding blocks. Both locations received seed checks from the Buenos Aires-based fund NXTP Labs in March.
City data released on 5 July showed that 14,800 residents completed at least one digital literacy course through these and similar outlets between January and June. Average cost per participant fell to 4,200 pesos after the new capital arrived, down from 7,800 pesos a year earlier.
Next steps for residents and founders
