Buenos Aires employment indicators reflect demand in health and media sectors alongside training investments
LinkedIn listings and city programs show active hiring while PyMEs account for the bulk of jobs and national financing supports skills development.

LinkedIn reports more than 15,000 active job offers in Buenos Aires and over 12,000 in the Province of Buenos Aires as of mid-2026. Randstad Argentina lists 422 openings through its platform in the same region. These figures come from the company’s recruitment site and LinkedIn’s public job board.
City programs target specific roles
The City of Buenos Aires government operates a free employment portal that lists current openings and runs the Plan de Empleo Joven for residents aged 18 to 24. Current postings seek nurses, therapeutic companions and audiovisual technicians who hold a motorcycle license for home-care and coverage duties across CABA and Gran Buenos Aires. The portal is hosted at trabajo.buenosaires.gob.ar.
Buenos Aires enacted Law 6393 in January 2021 to create a training regime for unemployed adults over 18 facing social vulnerability. The BA PyME program, run by the city government, provides support to small and medium enterprises at the email address pyme@buenosaires.gob.ar. PyMEs generate 80 percent of employment in Argentina under rules requiring 10 to 50 workers and national capital ownership.
Financing and skills initiatives
The World Bank approved $230 million in additional financing in 2025 for Argentina to expand training and job-search services aimed at more than 800,000 unemployed people. A separate 2026 U.S. Embassy program in Buenos Aires focuses on specialized English instruction for professionals in critical minerals, energy transition and advanced manufacturing. An earlier social-impact bond project in the city’s southern districts trained 894 vulnerable youth aged 17 to 24, after which 319 entered the labor market and 144 held jobs for 12 months.
